Description

Live Birds Nest Fern (Asplenium nidus): Indoor Houseplant. Bring home a live Birds Nest Fern, known for fresh green fronds that unfurl from a sculptural central rosette. Its decorative foliage brings texture and softness to plant stands, shelves, and grouped greenery displays. It makes a distinctive addition to an indoor collection when placed in a suitable growing environment.

Available nursery pot sizes: 4, 6 inches (measured across the top rim). Select your preferred size.

  • Light: Medium to bright indirect light. Avoid harsh midday sun to help protect the foliage.
  • Watering: Keep the soil lightly moist and avoid pouring water into the crown. Check the soil regularly rather than watering on a fixed schedule.
  • Care: Maintain humidity and an airy, moisture-retentive mix. Avoid burying or pouring water into the central crown. Best indoors with humidity; outdoors only in warm shade. Ideal temperature: 60–80°F (16–27°C).
  • Growth & expectations: New fronds unfurl from the crown or creeping rhizomes, gradually making the plant fuller. Older fronds may yellow or brown as fresh growth develops. Actual growth depends on light, season, and care.
  • Please note: Each plant is unique. Leaf count, size, shape, color, and fullness may naturally vary from photos. Arrives in a nursery pot unless a decorative pot is selected.
